I studied from Kindergarten to Foundation Diploma in Accounting at Kaplan, where I developed a strong foundation in various subjects, including English. Throughout my academic journey, I have always been drawn to the beauty and intricacies of the English language.
The driving force behind my passion for English and teaching is my mother. She did not have an English background herself, and she experienced the struggles that come with a lack of proficiency in the language. Determined to provide me with better opportunities, she encouraged me to study and write in English every day. Her dedication and sacrifice inspired me to pursue a career where I can make a difference in the lives of others, just as she did in mine.
Teaching has always been something I have enjoyed, my experiences have further fueled my desire to pursue a career in teaching.

My formative years of age 4-17 years (Pre-Primary, Primary & Secondary Education) were spent at The Cathedral & John Connon Anglo Scottish Educational School, Mumbai, India –A school of high repute, established in 1860.Its focus was on traditional British ideologies of teaching– In particular, those that lay a high emphasis on developing English language and literature skills, amongst an overall well-rounded system of education. I credit my passion and love for the English language, to this system, which has nurtured me to be an English enthusiast.

I am passionate about helping children develop & grow & while growing up in India, I have spent a fair amount of time volunteering with those who needed help in learning basic English & Math skills. In Singapore, I am signed up as a trained volunteer with the Eton House Community Fund’s, Teacher Everywhere /Joyful Learning Program, helping underprivileged children develop a love for reading and the English language. It has been one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable experiences of my life, nurturing young minds & seeing the joy with which they respond to simple learning.
Personally, I love all things nature. I spend my weekends and free time exploring the flora, fauna and rich cultural heritage of Singapore, with my family. That apart, I continue with my volunteering opportunities, enjoy baking, relaxing with my dog, keeping fit and reading books on travel and life in war -torn countries.
